Book on Film
Silent Movies bought at Longfellow Books
$29.89 (w/tax & minus discounts and coupons)
I love silent films. This book is filled with amazing stills and posters from the early part of cinema.
If you're looking for information on a particular actor, like Louise Brooks or Clara Bow, it only gives you a one page write up and a few photos so you might want to think twice about buying it. The original price was $45.

Salem, Ma
Tourist stuff bought at various shops in Salem, Mass
About $35 bucks
Two buttons, one that has a witch and the other with Lizzy Borden. A witch post card. Handcuff earrings made by local Salem artist Von Wolf.
The t-shirt was the last thing I bought after looking all over Salem for a cool child size tee or a XS adult tee but alas what people now call small used to be medium and as a little lady I can never find chintzy tourist type shirts in my size, ever.
$10 of the above price went to food at a great place called Cafe Kuscho and another $5 went to candy.

Star Trek and Yoko Ono
Star Trek 2009 Calendar & Yoko Ono Yes I'm A Witch Cd bought at Bull Moose Music
$17.81
I've been re-watching all the old Star Trek episodes and was super ecstatic to find this calendar.
The Ono Cd was only $2.97 so I couldn't pass it up, she collaborates with Le Tigre, Peaches, and many others. It's a riot.
Bikini Kill
Bikini Kill The Singles bought at Bull Moose Music
$9.67 (I had some store credit so it was $5 off)
I like Bikini Kill and yet I dislike Kathleen Hanna. For some reason I find her annoying. Perhaps it's the articles and interviews I've seen her in, she seems quite insipid.
The great thing about this album is that Joan Jett is on a few tracks including Rebel Girl.

Paper and Sheets
NY Daily News bought at Joe's
Twin size Sheets & Curtain bought at The Good Cause Thrift Shop
$.75 for the paper
$3.50 for the sheets & Curtain
The curtain was half off with good reason for it had a tear in it. It didn't really matter because I used them to cover the lettuce and swiss chard in the garden as we are going to have an early frost tonight.

Lunch With My Sister
Chips & Guacamole, Pesto Chicken Quesadillas, Pepsi, and a Banana Smoothie bought at Mesa Verde
$29.85 plus $10 tip*
We kinda went dutch on this one. She paid $23 making my share $16.85. I don't really feel bad for paying less because I usually buy her breakfast when she comes to town.
Does this make me a bad sister?
*Is this a good tip? She was a good waitress and she even called my work to tell them my sister left her glasses behind. (She recognized me when we came in as the "video store girl")

Voyage to the Dollar Tree
Pumpkin String Decoration, Bubble Bath, Baby Ruth, Ibuprofen, and Halloween Zipper bags bought at The Dollar Tree Store
Dr Pepper bought at Joe's Smoke Shop
$7.30 (the whole thing)
We went down to the hillbilly mall today. I didn't really need any of this stuff except for maybe the ibuprofen but I got it anyway.
I love Halloween.

Rainy Tuesday Treats
Hot Chocolate bought at Coffee By Design
NY Daily News and Lottery ticket bought at Joe's Smoke Shop
Sno Balls bought at 7/11
$5.62 (the whole lot)
Okay, so it's raining outside and I'm feeling like a junk food addict. This blog is making me realize how much crap I eat.
I swear I eat healthy stuff. I even had a salad for lunch today and I'm bringing another salad to work for tonight.
Update: The lotto ticket was a winner! But just a buck so I used it to get another lotto ticket from Joe's.

Shoes & Undergarments
Turquoise Sydney Shoes & various undergarments bought at Target
$67.14 (grand total)
I didn't really need these shoes but I really couldn't pass them by. They are so cute! I don't know what I'll wear them with and they're not really something I could wear to work but I had to have them.
The undergarments are a necessity and I didn't really plan to include necessities but since I did say I'm posting everything I buy, here they are.

Newspaper
Portland Press Herald bought at Dunkin Donuts
60 cents
I normally wouldn't go into DD but I didn't have any change and when I saw the headline "Man tried to rent girl, 12, for sex, police say" I had to get it. I couldn't believe this shit still goes on.
As for Palin, what a fucking joke.
Because of her I'm voting for Obama.

8 Inch Betsy Cd sent money through mail to Queer Control Records in California
$17.01 (cost of Cd + money order)
Danger! Hole Zine #4, & D!H Zine buttons sent money through mail to Liouxsie in New Jersey
$4 (1 zine + 2 buttons)
I've been meaning to send away for this stuff for a while but am just now getting to it. The photo is of the letter I sent Queer Control and issues of D!H zine that I already have. Pretty great stuff. You can find Danger! Hole Zine on myspace.
Update: 8 Inch Betsy cd came today 9/15/08 with two stickers.
Tea & Cake
Apple & Cheese
Apple & Granda Biraghi Cheese bought at the Public Market House
$3.00 (it was $3.03 but they had a penny jar)
Locally grown apple and some funky picnic cheese. I brought a salad for lunch but was really hungry and stopped to get these on the way to work. The cheese was kinda gross but I wanted to try something different.

Water
Sebago Lake Stuff
Stuff for a trip to Sebago Lake bought at Joe's Smoke Shop
$8.69 (the whole lot)
These are all the things you need for a great day at the beach: Pringles, Smart food, Lipton Lemon Tea, Life&Style mag, and The NY Daily News.
Well sure you also need sun screen, beach towels, and sunglasses but we already had those things.

Lettuce
Lettuce Seedlings bought at the Deering Oaks farmers market.
$6.30 (two containers, including tax)
There are six lettuce seedlings in this pack. It's way cheaper to grow your own veggies. We've been growing a bunch of swiss chard from seeds. Did you know swiss chard is $3.50 for a small bunch at Hannaford? Crazy.
